Tarun ChetnaIndependence Day
Independence Day is a must celebrate day for every Inidans. On August 15th, we commemorate the day in 1947 when India gained freedom from British rule. This proudholiday is marked at Tarun Chetna by flag hoisting ceremonies, awareness campaigns, and cultural events across the country, highlighting India’s rich history and diverse culture. It’s a day of pride and patriotism for all Indians.


Voter Awareness Campaign
Tarun Chetna Completed a successful voter awareness campaign involves several key steps and strategies to ensure that it reaches and resonates with the target audience. Here are some detailed-

- First-time Voters: Young adults, newly naturalized citizens.

- General Public: All eligible voters, with tailored messages for different demographics.

- In Higher Number of Registered Voters: Significant increase in the number of new voter registrations compared to previous periods.
- Demographic Breakdown: Detailed data showing increased registration across different demographics, including age, gender, ethnicity, and geographic location.
- Improved Turnout Rates: Noticeable increase in voter turnout, especially in areas targeted by the campaign.

International Women’s Day
On March 8th, we commemorate International Women’s Day by hosting educational programs and campaigns. Our volunteers, members, and beneficiaries come together to participate in these events, contributing to our ongoing journey towards the empowerment and development of women. Through awareness-raising and advocacy, we strive to promote gender equality and create a more inclusive society for all women.


Mission Life for Climate Justice
In the sequence of the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow, under the World Environment Day campaign, Tarun Chetna launched the “Mission Life” campaign, whose objective is to make people aware and alert towards environmental protection through community initiatives to reduce the ill effects of climate change. As we all know that it is not possible to imagine life without nature. Therefore, conservation of nature-given things like trees, lakes, forests, rivers, ponds etc. is necessary. For this, the organization, in collaboration with the Climate Change Department, Vasudha and Gorakhpur Environmental Action Group, conducted rallies, meetings, signature campaigns and tree plantation in 15 villages of the work area along with making people take an oath towards environmental protection and conservation.
In the same sequence, to prevent the impact of climate change, Climate Smart Gram Panchayat Plan was made in a participatory manner in Yadav Patti Gram Panchayat of Pratapgarh district and Diyara Gram Panchayat of Sultanpur district. Under this, by prioritizing disasters, social and resource maps were made and the danger, risk, vulnerability and capabilities were assessed. During this period, after completing the five phases of the scheme like Rapport building, situation analysis, identification and prioritization of problems and requirements, determination of resources, CSGPDP-Climate Smart Gram Panchayat Development Plan was prepared and submitted to the government through GEAG for technical and financial approval.
District level Community Dialogue on Health accessibility
Tarun Chetna, Praxis and UNICEF New Delhi organized a district level community dialogue program in Chilbila on 01 Mar 2023 in which Praxis’ Program Manager Deepti Menon expressed. Ms. Deepti said that all people should follow the COVID appropriate behavior and get the COVID vaccine; this will save us all from this terrible disease. At the beginning of this program organized with the support of ADB, JFPR and From the People of Japan, Tarun Chetna Director Naseem Ansari welcomed all the guests and participants and elaborated on the objectives of the program.

Key speakers in the program: Ms. Deepti Menon, Program Manager- Praxis, Women Welfare Officer Mrs. Jaya Yadav, Dr. Arif Hussain, In-charge Superintendent- Community Health Center Belkharnath Ghaam, Mr. Akash Dalmia, Child Development Project Officer Mangaraura, Mr. Sachin Divedi, Labor Enforcement Officer, Mr. Hemant Shukla, State coordinator of Praxis program Sanjay Bharti, famous social worker Brahmadev Upadhyay, District Health Committee member Mohammad Salim Khan etc. expressed their views calling the program impactful.
In this community dialogue program, a street play on Clean Toilets and Breast Feeding was also staged, which was highly appreciated by the participants.
